Saturday, September 22nd

This weekened we will have several ladies of NRC representing at the Women’s Half Marathon!!  For two of them, Chris Kettrey and Suzanne Curry, this will be their first half marathon. Best of luck to you!! The feeling and sense of accomplishment that you will have when you cross that finish line will be incredible. Enjoy it!!

As for running plans on Saturday morning:

Danielle will be starting from Mama’s Java at 5:00 a.m. running 16 miles around a 10:00 pace

Lisa and Joe Singer are starting from Mama’s Java at 5:15 a.m. for 15 miles at an 8:30-9:00 min pace

We have a large group running Sunday as well:

At 6:00 a.m. from Mama’s Java… Scott, myself, Tandy, Jamie, and Jayson will be running 14 miles between a 9:00 and 10:00 pace

Wednesday, September 19th

Tonight NRC will be eating at Uncle Bud’s after our group run. However, before that and most importantly we cannot ignore this perfect running weather! Join us at 6:15 pm from Martin’s to scuttle, dash, jog, run or walk a few meters or miles.  …whatever your preference you will be welcomed!! 

Also, if you have not purchased one of our new bumper stickers, Scott will have them available tonight. The cost is $5.

Saturday, September 15th Running Plans

Ok NRC..here we go!!

From Mama’s Java

6:00 am   Scott, Mike and Megan, and Daryl will be running 15 miles at a 9:15-9:30 pace

6:30 am  Kelli, Shawn, Steve, etc. will be running 8 miles at an11:00ish pace

There is also a group (Danielle, The Singers, etc.) running from the Concord Y starting at 5 am. They will be running 22 miles!!  Best of luck!!  Completing 22 training miles is always something to celebrate!!

Also, I would llike to mention that our very own NRC President, Scott Alexander put together an awesome NRC video that is so well worth the watching!! Such a great job Scott!!!  Click on the link to view and enjoy 🙂

Wednesday, September 12th

Regarding the weather, our run this evening sure looks to be much better than last week! Clear skies and mild temperatures should make for an outstanding night running with NRC friends. Remember we start at 6:15 pm from Martins to run and then we will head over Campo Azul for our post run meal complete with some of Nolensville’s best margaritas!!  See everyone tonight!

Saturday, September 8th Running Plans

Despite the fact that the weather may not be in full cooperation tomorrow morning, I do have some running plans to list. Always use your best judgement when trying to decide whether to run or not. Be safe NRC!

Starting from Mama’s Java with possible weather permitting…

5:00 a.m. –  Lisa and Joe Singer and Danielle will be running 15-17 miles at a 9:30/10:00 pace.

6:00 a.m. – Mandy, Tandy and Jamie will be runing between 10-12 miles. Pace will vary from the mid 8’s to high 9’s.

7:00 a.m. – Kelli Alexander and Suzanne Curry will be traveling to the Athlete’s House to run 10 miles of the Women’s Half Marathon course at an 11:00ish pace.

NRC Wednesday, September 5th

What an incredible Labor Day NRC had at the Franklin Classic!  We had a huge turnout of runners! Everyone should be proud and are congratulated for their efforts! All of your hard work paid off. NRC took the team award for fastest team in the 5K and we had several runners win age group awards.

For the 10k: John Lovell 2nd in division, Megan Brazill 3rd in division, Scott Alexander 3rd in division, Jill Williams 2nd in division, Daryl Middleton 2nd in division

For the 5k: John Lovell 2nd in division, Roy Tamez 2nd in division

Come on out tonight for our group run to help celebrate everyone’s accomplishments!  6:15 at Martin’s to run followed by dinner at Campo Azul!

Saturday, September 1st – Running Plans

Happy Friday NRC!  Running plans are coming in and we have some groups tackling long miles in preparation for fall marathons while others are conserving some energy for the Franklin Classic on Monday.

Scott and Mandy will be running 7 miles at around a 9:30 pace starting from Mama’s Java at 6:00 a.m.

Kelli and Suzanne are running 10 miles at an 11:30/12:00 pace beginning from Mama’s Java at 6:00 a.m.

Julie and Angel are running 18 miles at a 10ish pace starting from Mama’s Java at 5 am

Best of luck to all NRC runners who will be at the Franklin Classic on Monday! It is a very fun race and this year will prove to be even better given that we have around 48 participants. NRC will rock the house!!
