Saturday, July 7th Running Plans

Happy Friday NRC!!  I am happy to announce that this week our running plans include a field trip!  Although we love our little town of Nolensville, it’s nice to venture out a little.  Therefore, we are going to begin our longer run this week from the Concord Road YMCA in Brentwood to run the Riverpark greenway.

Our start time will be 5:30 a.m. We will head back to our regular Saturday breakfast spot, Mama’s Java, after the run.

Several people will be running between 10 and 13 miles. There will be three general paces: high 8’s, low 9’s and 11:00 minute.

On the 4th, we had many NRCers participate in the Cadillac Firecracker 5k!  It was a very fun race with many success stories in the group!!  Pictures will be coming soon but for now, results can be found here: http://www.nashvillestriders.com/storage/results/results-2012/firecracker%202012%20results.txt

In addition, NRC would like to wish Erin Pryor the very best in the Muncie Half Ironman!!  We know all of her hard work and training will be well rewarded!!

For Erin… Swim, Bike, and Run Happy! 🙂

Saturday, June 23rd Running Plans

Hey everyone….Amy Klotz is on vacation and I am going to be out of town tomorrow and we are the only two who know how to update the website.  With that being said, please check out our Facebook page to see what other NRCers are planning on running this Saturday.

Thanks and I hope that everyone has a great weekend!!

Saturday, June 16th – Change for a Chance 5k

Saturday morning running plans include a local 5k race for many NRCers this week!

Change for a Chance 4th Annual 5k

Race starts at 7:30 a.m.; Registration starts at 6:30 a.m.

The race will start at the Nolensville First United Methodist Church

If you have not pre-registered yet, the cost on race day is $25.

For anyone who ran last year, you will remember the course to be quite challenging. Thanks to John Pryor for coming up with a new route!  The race organizers took his suggestion and altered the course, thus eliminating 3 difficult hills.

We hope to see everyone there!!!!  We had a great NRC turnout last year and hope it will be even better tomorrow.  Best of luck to all 🙂

Wednesday, June 13th

Happy Wednesday NRC!!  This week is another exciting one as we will a have fantastic visitor!  An Adidas rep, as arranged by Christi Beth at Fleet Feet, will bring along a range of Adidas shoes in various sizes and styles. You will be able to choose a pair and take them for a test run.

As always, everything gets started at 6:15 p.m. from Martin’s. After our regular announcements and Adidas shoe selection, there will be several running options. Pace groups will be available for 8:00, 9:00, 10:00 and 11:00 minute miles.

Post run we will be going to the new location of Campo Azul. Scott has arranged for the back part of the restaurant to be reserved just for NRC!! Should be great time. Hope to see everyone there.

Just a reminder… this Saturday is the Change for a Chance 5K.  Given that it is in our own backyard of Nolensville, we hope to dominate the race population for the day!! Hope everyone can make it.  Even if you are not interested in running in the event, there are opportunities to volunteer. If interested, please contact Scott.

See everyone tomorrow 🙂
